Onboarding is more than having a new hire fill out a stack of HR forms on their first day. In fact, that should happen before they even step in the front door (there are a lot of great software providers out there that help you automate and begin the boring, time-consuming paperwork process before their first day!).
Onboarding is about giving people the tools they need to be successful in their new role. Great onboarding programs shed light on the company culture, expose new employees to senior leaders and executives, and offer training and development courses that enable individuals to hit the ground running as soon as onboarding is complete.
Last week, I sat down with Kris Dunn, CHRO of Kinetix and founder of Founder of Fistful of Talent, and Dawn Burke, VP of People at Daxko and Fistful of Talent contributor, to discuss how organizations can improve their onboarding programs! Catch a replay of the candid L&D Hangout to hear some funny and meaningful advice on how you can add more value and purpose to your onboarding programs and processes.
