Reston, VA – November 5, 2019 – Meridian Knowledge Solutions today announced the release of the latest version of its award-winning learning management system, Meridian LMS Fall 2019. This latest release features an enhanced learner experience for video content and courses, evaluations/observation checklists, and xAPI statements.
Meridian LMS Fall 2019 also includes improvements to certification management that will greatly benefit associations and other organizations whose learners extend beyond the enterprise to partners, clients, and resellers.
Key highlights of Meridian LMS 19.2 include:
Improved Catalog Experience: including inline play for select content types and a new smart banner highlighting the user’s next logical step.
Evaluations / Observation Checklists: with support for Kirkpatrick Level 3, evaluations now allow a manager, instructor, or designated evaluator to fill out survey questions about a particular learner.
Certifications: Flexible new settings allow administrators to determine whether a re-certification date is based on content completion or another factor, such as a member renewal, previous expiration date, or payment.
Experience xAPI: Meridian’s new LRS Explorer captures xAPI statements regarding user interactions with videos played via the new inline player. It also allows administrators to see all xAPI statements captured by the Meridian LRS.
“Forward-thinking organizations view learning and development as a strategic asset,” said Paul Terry, Chief Strategy & Operations Officer of Meridian. “They require a flexible learning environment that is suited to their business rather than the one-size-fits-all platform. Our latest release reflects our commitment to understanding our clients’ specific needs and processes, then providing them with new capabilities that exceed their expectations.”
