The first Meridian Impact Eastern Summit, held last week, brought commercial & federal learning professionals together to share best practices, discuss ways to improve their training programs and how to leverage the Meridian LMS to achieve their organizations goals. Attendees gained valuable insight into existing client use cases as well as ways to increase efficiency and productivity in their respective work environments.
K12 Inc. provided insights into the steps they have taken with the Meridian LMS to provide their teachers with meaningful, measurable professional development that is rigorous, results-driven and able to scale. The topic of xAPI, led by Meridian and partner dominKnow created a lot of buzz. Meridian’s real-world simulation to illustrate the power of xAPI in producing actionable insights in real-time demonstrated how to create xAPI compliant courses and utilize the data captured in the LRS by simulating what happens when a user shows behavior of non-compliance.
Attendees also found valuable knowledge in discussions from partners 9Lenses and OpenSesame, who shared their take on ways to identify and address skills gaps. Meridian discussed the product road map and future plans for the LMS. Attendees who had not seen the latest version were given the opportunity to review user-friendly dashboards, and new reporting features.
Roundtable discussions on the topics of marketing your LMS, leveraging push notifications, content creation and competencies created valuable takeaways for all. Clients also discussed unique category titles for courses, utilizing different departments to increase user retention, as well as improve LMS content quality.
Attendees from various industries and organizations found common ground in their shared challenges of improving their training programs and desire to better understand the tools at their disposal within the Meridian LMS.
Engagement is at the heart of Meridian initiatives; we believe we can help our clients become successful if we listen and address their unique needs and challenges. Be on the lookout as Meridian continues to create workshops and events in the future to give our clients additional opportunities to uncover the power of their LMS.
We look forward to the next Meridian Eastern Impact Summit in 2020. Hope to see you there!
